Hybrid over all-foam; a cooling cover helps, airflow helps moreCoils move air; a solid foam core does not. A hybrid with a cooling cover, or a foam mattress built with airflow channels and a phase-change cover, keeps the surface neutral. Dense memory foam that hugs you also holds your heat, so if you love the hug, look for the versions built for cooling and sleep on the floor model for ten minutes.

You sleep on your side

Pressure relief at shoulder and hipOn your side, the shoulder and hip carry the weight. A mattress that is too firm leaves them sore by morning; one that is too soft lets the hip sink and bends the spine. Medium to medium-soft with a thick comfort layer usually wins, and the pressure map shows the two hot spots in colour, so you can see the difference between two mattresses instead of guessing.

You lie on a mattress fitted with a sensor mat that reads more than 1,600 pressure points and draws a map of where your body is pressing hardest, on your back and on your side. Then you lie on a different mattress and compare the two maps. It replaces the thirty-second sit test with data, and it is free.

We deliver throughout South Jersey: Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May, Somers Point, Linwood, Margate, Ventnor, Galloway, Mays Landing and the Shore towns between. In-stock pieces are available for pickup or fast delivery.

Delivery is white-glove: our crew brings the piece in, sets it up in the room and takes the packaging away. Removal of old furniture or a mattress is available for a charge and has to be arranged when you schedule the delivery.

What is the best mattress for a hot sleeper?
Usually a hybrid: pocketed coils move air that a solid foam core traps, and a cooling cover on top keeps the surface neutral. If you prefer the hug of memory foam, choose a version built for cooling, with airflow channels or a phase-change cover, and lie on it for ten minutes on the floor.
What mattress is best for side sleepers with shoulder pain?
Medium to medium-soft with a thick comfort layer, so the shoulder and hip sink enough to keep the spine straight without bottoming out. The pressure-mapping test shows both hot spots in colour on each mattress, which takes the guesswork out of firm versus soft.
What is the best mattress for couples who wake each other?

Foam or hybrid, which lasts longer?
Both last well from the brands we carry; what shortens a mattress's life is a poor base and never rotating it. Use a firm, solid foundation or a slatted base with close slats, rotate head to foot a few times a year, and use a protector. The maker's warranty terms are on each product page.
Do I need an adjustable base?
Not to sleep well, but it helps two groups: people who snore or have reflux, who benefit from raising the head a few degrees, and people with lower-back pain, who benefit from raising the knees. Most foam and hybrid mattresses we sell work on one; the product page says which.
What firmness should a heavier person choose?
Firmer and thicker than the label suggests, because more weight sinks further into the same foam. A hybrid with a sturdy coil unit and a thick comfort layer holds shape best; the pressure test shows immediately whether the hips are dropping.
