Cuddler or chaise, and how to order one

Cuddler vs chaise

Wide and rounded vs long and narrow.A chaise is a long seat for one person's legs. A cuddler is a deep, rounded wedge in the corner or at the end, wide enough for two or for one person sideways with a book. Cuddlers take less length along the wall and more depth in the corner.

Where the cuddler goes

Corner or end; left or right. Most lines put the cuddler at one end of the sofa, some in the corner between two sofa sections. Face the sofa from the front to name the side, and decide which keeps the walkway clear.

Cuddler sectional questions, answered

What is a cuddler sectional?

A sectional that includes a cuddler: a wide, rounded corner or end seat, deep enough for two people or for one to sit sideways. It replaces the chaise in a chaise sectional and takes more depth but less length along the wall.

Are cuddler sectionals in stock?

How long does a custom cuddler sectional take?

England states most custom orders ship within 4 to 6 weeks. Jonathan Louis lead times are given when you configure the piece with a consultant.

Can I add a cuddler to a sectional I already own?

If the sectional is from a line that still offers a cuddler piece in the same collection and fabric, yes. Bring the model name and a photo of the fabric tag and a consultant will check with the maker.

Can I choose the fabric?

Yes. England offers hundreds of fabrics and leathers across grades, and Jonathan Louis offers its full fabric library at one price. Swatches are on the floor and both makers will send swatches home.
