Rug first, then the rest

Front legs of the sofa on the rug.A rug sets the room's size and palette. In a living room the front legs of every seat should sit on it; an 8-by-10 handles most sofas, a 9-by-12 most sectionals. Rugs are their own department here and delivered with the furniture.

Wall art and mirrors

Two-thirds the width of what is under it.Art or a mirror over a sofa or console should span roughly two-thirds of its width and hang with its center about 60 inches from the floor. A large mirror opposite a window does more for a dark Shore-house room than any lamp.

Pillows, throws, vases

Odd numbers, one big, one small.Two sizes of pillow read better than four of the same; one throw, folded, not draped. Vases and bowls work in threes of different heights. These are the pieces to buy standing in front of the sofa, which is why they are on the floor.

Lamps

Bottom of the shade at eye level, seated.A table lamp beside a sofa should put the bottom of its shade around 40 inches from the floor. Buy lamps in pairs for a symmetrical room; a floor lamp fills the corner a table cannot reach.

We deliver throughout South Jersey: Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May, Somers Point, Linwood, Margate, Ventnor, Galloway, Mays Landing and the Shore towns between. In-stock pieces are available for pickup or fast delivery.

Delivery is white-glove: our crew brings the piece in, sets it up in the room and takes the packaging away. Removal of old furniture or a mattress is available for a charge and has to be arranged when you schedule the delivery.

Is home decor in stock to take home the same day?
Most of it. Wall art, mirrors, vases, pillows, blankets and lamps are on the floor and in the warehouse; anything marked in stock can be picked up at 200 Tilton Road the day you buy it or delivered with your furniture.
Can decor be delivered with my furniture?
Yes. Accents bought with a sofa, bed or dining set can ride on the same white-glove delivery.
What size rug goes under a sectional?
Usually a 9-by-12: the front legs of every seat should sit on the rug, and a sectional's chaise needs the extra length. An 8-by-10 handles a sofa and two chairs. Area rugs are a separate department here and are delivered with the furniture.
How high should I hang art over a sofa?
With its center about 60 inches from the floor and its width about two-thirds of the sofa's. Over a console or dresser, leave 6 to 8 inches between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
Do you sell throw pillows for outdoor furniture?
Yes, in the outdoor collection: solution-dyed outdoor pillows that resist fading and dry fast, sold alongside the patio sets they match.
