Set or pieces?

Sets are cheaper per piece; pieces fit odd rooms.A packaged set (bed, dresser, mirror, one or two nightstands) is priced below the same pieces bought separately and guarantees the finish matches. Buy pieces when the room cannot take a dresser, or when you are keeping something you own.

Size the bed to the room, not the wish

Queen 60 by 80 in; king 76 by 80; California king 72 by 84.Allow about 30 inches of walking space on each open side of the bed and in front of every drawer. A king in a 12-by-12 room works; a king plus a dresser on the same wall usually does not. Bring the room's measurements and we will draw it.

Storage beds and headboard-only

The two most-asked-for options.Storage beds put drawers in the footboard or rails and replace a chest in a small room. A headboard on its own attaches to a metal frame you may already have and is the cheapest way to change how a bedroom looks.

The mattress is a separate decision

We deliver throughout South Jersey: Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May, Somers Point, Linwood, Margate, Ventnor, Galloway, Mays Landing and the Shore towns between. In-stock pieces are available for pickup or fast delivery.

Delivery is white-glove: our crew brings the piece in, sets it up in the room and takes the packaging away. Removal of old furniture or a mattress is available for a charge and has to be arranged when you schedule the delivery.

Where can I buy bedroom furniture near Atlantic City?
Kensington Furniture, 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, ten minutes from Atlantic City off Exit 36 of the Garden State Parkway. Whole bedroom sets are assembled on the floor, from in-stock Ashley to made-to-order Bassett and Bernhardt, and the mattress floor is in the same building.
What is included in a bedroom set?
Most sets are a bed (headboard, footboard and rails), a dresser and a mirror, with one or two nightstands and sometimes a chest. The product page lists exactly which pieces are in the set; mattresses and box springs are separate unless it says otherwise.
Is a bedroom set cheaper than buying the pieces separately?
Yes, when the set is one the maker packages. A packaged set is priced below the sum of its pieces and guarantees the finishes match. If you only need three pieces, buying them separately can still be the better deal; we will price both for you.
Do bedroom sets come with a mattress?
Usually not. The mattress is chosen separately, which is the right way round: the set is about the room and the mattress is about your back. Our mattress floor with the Dream Catcher test is a few steps from the bedroom floor, and both can be delivered together.
What size bed fits my room?
Allow roughly 30 inches of clear floor on each side you walk on and in front of every drawer. A queen is 60 by 80 inches, a king 76 by 80, a California king 72 by 84. Bring the room's measurements and a designer will lay it out with you at no charge.
Do you sell storage beds?
Yes. Storage beds with drawers in the footboard or side rails are in the beds collection, in twin through king. They are the usual answer for a small room that cannot take a chest.
Can I buy just a headboard?
Yes. Headboard-only listings attach to a standard metal frame and are the least expensive way to change a bedroom. Kids' and youth headboards in twin and full are the deepest part of that selection.
Is bedroom furniture in stock or ordered?
Both. Most Ashley sets are in our own warehouse and marked in stock, available for pickup or fast delivery. Bassett and Bernhardt bedroom pieces are built to order in the finish you choose; we give you the expected date when you order.
