The Nectar line, explained in one table

Four tiers, each in an all-foam and a hybrid version. Going up a tier adds memory foam on top, a softer feel and more cooling. Heights, feels and layer figures are Nectar's own, from nectarsleep.com.

Classic

12 inches. Memory foam: firm to medium-firm. Hybrid: medium-firm.Nectar's entry point: 1 inch of memory foam over support foam, on an 8-inch foam base (all-foam) or 8 inches of individually wrapped coils (hybrid). Nectar suggests the firm foam version for stomach sleepers and people with back pain; the hybrid for combination sleepers and couples.

Premier

13 inches. Memory foam: medium-firm. Hybrid: medium.2 inches of memory foam on top. Nectar calls the foam Premier its choice for back and combination sleepers; the Premier Hybrid has 60% more cooling fibers than the Classic Hybrid and suits combination and side sleepers.

Luxe

14 inches. Memory foam: medium. Hybrid: medium-soft.3 inches of memory foam with cool-to-the-touch cover technology. Nectar points the Luxe at combination and side sleepers and hot sleepers; the Luxe Hybrid doubles the Classic Hybrid's cooling fibers and is the side-sleeper pick.

Ultra

15 inches. Memory foam: medium-soft. Hybrid: soft.4 inches of memory foam topped with a phase-change sheet, over a zoned support layer with three ergonomic zones, and 4x the cooling fibers of the Classic. The foam Ultra is endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association. For side, back and combination sleepers.

Delivery and pickup

We deliver throughout South Jersey: Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May, Somers Point, Linwood, Margate, Ventnor, Galloway, Mays Landing and the Shore towns between. In-stock pieces are available for pickup or fast delivery.

Delivery is white-glove: our crew brings the piece in, sets it up in the room and takes the packaging away. Removal of old furniture or a mattress is available for a charge and has to be arranged when you schedule the delivery.

Nectar's Forever Warranty, as Nectar publishes it

Nectar's Forever Warranty is a lifetime limited warranty for the original purchaser, and Nectar's policy states it covers purchases from nectarsleep.com and from authorized resellers. It covers a visible indentation deeper than 1.5 inches and manufacturing defects: in years 1 to 10 Nectar replaces the mattress; after 10 years it repairs or replaces at its option, with a shipping charge each way that is waived when the defect is confirmed. Nectar questions, answered

What is the difference between Nectar Classic, Premier, Luxe and Ultra?

Each tier adds an inch of memory foam on top and gets softer: Classic has 1 inch (12 inches tall, firm to medium-firm), Premier 2 (13 inches, medium-firm), Luxe 3 (14 inches, medium) and Ultra 4 with a phase-change cooling sheet and zoned support (15 inches, medium-soft). Every tier comes in memory foam or hybrid.

Should I choose the memory foam or the hybrid Nectar?

Memory foam for a quieter, more contouring feel with less motion transfer; hybrid for bounce, easier movement, airflow and a slightly softer feel at the same tier, thanks to 8 inches of individually wrapped coils. Lie on both on our floor: the difference is obvious in a minute.

Which Nectar is best for side sleepers?

Nectar itself points side sleepers to the Luxe and Ultra tiers, foam or hybrid, because the thicker memory foam cradles the shoulder and hip. The Luxe Hybrid is the model Nectar names for side sleepers. The Dream Catcher pressure test on our floor shows which one relieves your pressure points.

Does Nectar sleep hot?

Every Nectar has a cover with cooling fibers; the Premier Hybrid has 60% more of them than the Classic Hybrid, the Luxe doubles them, and the Ultra has four times as many plus a phase-change layer that reacts to body temperature. Hybrids also move more air through the coils. Nectar sells an optional NectarCool cover upgrade as well.

Is Nectar fiberglass-free and certified?

Yes. Nectar states every mattress is 100% fiberglass-free and its foams are certified by CertiPUR-US. The Nectar Kids mattress cover is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.

Where is Nectar made?

Nectar's own FAQ says its products are sourced and manufactured in places such as Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Mexico and the USA; the brand does not publish the origin of each model. If it matters to you, ask us and we will check the label on the model you choose.

How does the sleep guarantee work on a Nectar bought at Kensington?

What is Nectar's Forever Warranty?

A lifetime limited warranty for the original purchaser that Nectar states covers purchases from authorized resellers as well as from nectarsleep.com. Indentations deeper than 1.5 inches and defects are covered; years 1 to 10 are a replacement, after that a repair or replacement with a shipping charge that is waived if the defect is confirmed.

Do I need a special base for a Nectar mattress?

A firm, solid, flat surface: a platform bed, a slatted foundation with close slats, a box spring with a solid top, or one of the Nectar adjustable bases. Nectar's warranty is voided by a base that is not firm and solid, which is why we sell the frame and the three Comfort adjustable bases alongside the mattresses.

How long does a Nectar take to expand?

Nectar ships its mattresses compressed in a box; per Nectar, the mattress reaches full height in 24 to 72 hours and Nectar recommends giving your body about 30 days to adjust to a new mattress.
