Avocado swaps some of the Green Mattress's latex for two coconut-fiber pads, so the surface gives a little under shoulders and hips and then stops: 2 inches of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex over up to 1,337 individually wrapped coils in zoned support with reinforced edges.
The rest is the Green line's organic build: GOTS-certified organic cotton cover, organic wool flame barrier, no polyurethane foam, no chemical flame retardants, no fiberglass, with GOTS, MADE SAFE, GREENGUARD Gold and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. It is the firmest of the four Green Mattress feels, built for back and stomach sleepers and for bigger frames. If you want firmer still, the Avocado Extra Firm is the next step; if you want a touch more give, the Green Medium keeps the same construction with 3 inches of latex and no cocofiber pads.
