Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Nine drawers across a 72-inch case in Universal's Organic Natural Oak finish make the Walker Drawer Dresser the storage anchor of the New Modern bedroom. The top right and left drawers each carry a removable gray felt-lined jewelry tray; the pulls are flat metal plates rather than bars. It stands 36 inches tall and 19 deep, with a tip kit and adjustable levelers included.
Nine drawers is enough for two people, which is the point: this is the long-wall dresser for a primary bedroom in Egg Harbor Township, with the Walker Panel Bed on the opposite wall and a Walker Nightstand on each side of it. The Walker Drawer Chest, 56 inches tall in the same finish, adds height where the room needs it. Universal designs the line in High Point, North Carolina.
White-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies), or pick up at the store.
