Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Two Haze walnut doors on a Veil case, with Smoked Gold hardware and two adjustable shelves behind — the Veil Hall Chest is a 42-inch-wide, 19-inch-deep, 36-inch-tall cabinet from Universal's Mist & Veil line, listed for the living room but at home anywhere a closed cabinet at counter height is useful.
A hall chest is what it is named for: gloves and scarves, the dog's leash, the mail. At 36 inches it is also a dining server, a bar, or a tall nightstand for someone who reads with the lamp up high. The adjustable shelves move to suit bottles or baskets. It matches the Veil Bachelors Chest and the Veil Panel Bed, and the Veil Mirror hung portrait above it makes an entry set.
