Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
A metal frame with rounded corners and Oiled Bronze rails, finished in Universal's River Bank tone — The Guest Room Bed is named for the room it suits, and it is simpler than most beds we list: no upholstery, no storage, a 58-inch headboard and an open frame. The queen is 63 inches wide and 86 long; the king is 79 inches wide. It takes a mattress and box spring, with 9.5 inches from the floor to the bottom of the box spring.
That clearance leaves room for low bins under the frame, the practical point of a guest bed in a shore house in Ocean City or Wildwood that sleeps more people than it has closets. Universal lists it as not compatible with an adjustable base, so plan on a standard box spring.
White-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies), or pick up at the store.
