Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Stone set into wood: the Sable and Stone Cocktail Table frames an inset slab of Dark Gray Travertine inside a top finished in Universal's deep Sable, 56 inches long, 34 wide and 18 tall, with adjustable levelers in the feet. Gray stone on charcoal wood reads as one dark surface until the light hits the travertine's pores and veining.
Eighteen inches is level with most sofa seats, and 56 inches suits a sofa from 80 to 88 inches. It is the darker of the two stone-topped cocktail tables in the Sable & Desert line — the Desert and Stone version sets White Travertine into pale wood — and it matches the Sable Side Table, which has the same inset stone at sofa-side height.
