Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Openwork rattan carved in a pebble pattern, finished white, wraps around a seat in Nomad Snow — a Crypton performance fabric — on the Pebble Accent Chair, a small occasional chair from Universal's Oasis collection. It is 26 inches wide, 28 deep and 33 tall, with a low 16-inch seat and arms at 25 inches.
Sixteen inches is a low seat — this is a chair for a corner, a bedroom, a Somers Point sunroom — not a dining or desk chair. The white frame against the pale fabric reads as one object, and the openwork keeps it from blocking a window. Crypton means a damp bathing suit on it is not a disaster. It comes as shown in Nomad Snow. It is the piece in the Coastal Living Home Collection that is closest to sculpture, and the Oasis Stool beside it makes a footrest.

A bedroom corner, a sunroom or a bathroom with the room for it — anywhere a small sculptural chair is the point.
