Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Fully upholstered in Sheldon Ivory with a narrow White Oak frame around the headboard, the Owen Storage Bed from Universal's Avaline collection hides its storage in the footboard, which pulls out to open a compartment for bedding. The queen is 70 inches wide, 88 long and 52 tall; the king is 86 inches wide. Both are designed for a mattress only, no box spring.
Avaline is Universal's lighter modern collection, and this bed is its quiet center: a soft ivory box, oak at the edge, nothing to compete with the window. With the Avaline nightstands and dresser in White Oak, the room reads as one piece of light wood and cloth.
The Mattress Store inside our Northfield showroom has a 7-minute pressure-mapping test to match a mattress to a platform bed. We offer white-glove delivery (delivery fee applies), or you can pick up at the store.
