Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Sheldon Ivory fabric covers the whole of the Owen Storage Bed A, with a narrow wood frame in Universal's Skylark finish around the headboard, and the footboard pulls out to open a storage compartment for spare bedding. This listing is the king: 86 inches wide, 88 inches long and 54 inches tall at the headboard. It is designed for a mattress only, so no box spring goes in the stack.
It belongs to Universal's Avaline collection, where the Skylark pieces — the Carmen Dresser, the Carmen nightstands with their USB and USB-C ports, the Carmen Chest — match the frame. In a primary bedroom in Avalon with the closet already full, the footboard compartment takes the extra blankets.
The Mattress Store inside our Northfield showroom runs a 7-minute pressure-mapping test to match a mattress to a platform bed like this one. We offer white-glove delivery (delivery fee applies), or you can pick up at the store.
