Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Folded like paper, the doors of the Origami Hall Chest are clad in brass metal and finished in Aged Gold, so the whole 44-inch front catches light at different angles across the day. The case is 20 inches deep and 35 inches tall, with two touch-latch doors, two adjustable shelves inside and levelers in the feet.
It is the piece for the wall you see first — an entry, the end of a hallway, the gap between two windows — and it works as a bar cabinet in a living room, where the metal doors earn their place at night. It belongs to the Sable & Desert group of Universal's Modern collection, designed in High Point, North Carolina, and the plain Sable and Desert pieces give it a quiet background.
You can see comparable Universal cabinets in our Northfield showroom; white-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies).
