Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Three wide drawers faced in Embossed Cocoa, set in a Cocoa case that stands on a Smoked Gold metal base — the Montclair Chest is a low, 54-inch dresser, 19 inches deep and 37 tall. The textured fronts against the smooth case, lifted off the floor on metal, are the Montclair signature.
Universal calls it a chest, but at 54 inches wide with three deep drawers it works as the dresser for a guest room or a smaller primary bedroom, with the Montclair Mirror above. For a Cape May second home where the bedroom is the small one upstairs, the low profile keeps the window clear. The six-drawer Montclair Dresser is the larger piece in the same construction.
White-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies), or pick up at the store.
