Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Tambour slats wrap the base of the Lumi Cocktail Table — thin vertical ribs of oak running all the way around a 44-inch round drum, 17 inches tall, with casters hidden underneath. It is from the New Modern group of Universal's Modern collection, and the Natural Oak finish keeps the grain visible under a light tone.
The ridged base catches light differently from every angle, which is the point of tambour; the top is plain so the base does the talking. Casters let one person move it. The Lumi Side Table carries the same tambour base at end-table height, and the Lumi Credenza in Natural Oak matches across the room. A 44-inch round suits a sofa of about 80 inches or a sectional with a chaise.
You can see comparable Universal tables in our Northfield showroom; white-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies).
