Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Part sculpture, part seat, the Kinetic Stool is cast aluminum shaped into a 24-inch-wide, 14-inch-deep stool that stands 19 inches tall, and Universal rates it for covered outdoor use as well as indoors.
Nineteen inches is seat height, so it works as a perch at the foot of a bed, a footrest beside a chair or a small side surface for a drink next to a sofa. Under cover on a porch — a roof over it, not open sky — the aluminum is at home in Shore air. Indoors it goes where a room needs one sculptural thing; you can see comparable Universal accent pieces in our Northfield showroom.
Not sure it fits through the door or up the stairs? Will it fit? Our delivery guide
Cast aluminum.
24 inches wide, 14 inches deep, 19 inches tall.
Universal rates it for covered outdoor use — a screened or roofed porch, not an open patio.
Both — at 19 inches it is seat height, and the top takes a drink or a book beside a sofa.
No — it is a stand-alone accent piece, so it works beside any Universal sofa or bed.
