Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Twenty-six inches tall overall, the Fitz Swivel Chair is one of the lowest swivel chairs Universal makes — a wide, curved seat in Vail Toffee leather, 37 inches across and 38 deep, on legs finished in Medium Brown Oak. Seat height is 18 inches, seat depth 25, and the arms are at 23.
Low and deep is a lounge posture: you sit back and down, and the 23-inch arms rise only five inches above the seat. The toffee-brown leather on oak legs is a warm combination for a room with wood floors; the chair is also wide enough that it does not read as small, only low. It swivels, so it faces the sofa or the window as the evening goes.
Not sure it fits through the door or up the stairs? Will it fit? Our delivery guide
