Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Tall and narrow — 58 inches high on a 42-inch-wide, 20-inch-deep base — the New Lou Drawer Chest stacks four deep drawers behind Antique Bronze pulls in Universal's warm Cognac finish, with a key escutcheon on the top drawer, the traditional detail that marks the collection.
A chest this tall takes a narrow wall and gives back four drawers of folded clothes, which makes it the second storage piece in a bedroom that already has the 12-drawer Drawer Dresser, or the only one in a guest room. The New Lou Nightstand and Dressing Chest share the Cognac finish and the bronze hardware; in a Northfield colonial with small bedrooms, the chest is the one that fits.
