Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
An inset slab of White Travertine sits flush in the Desert-finished top of the Desert and Stone Cocktail Table, so the stone is framed in pale wood on all four sides. The table is 56 inches long, 34 wide and 18 tall, with adjustable levelers in the feet, and it comes from the Sable & Desert line of Universal's Modern collection.
Eighteen inches is cocktail-table height for most sofas — level with the seat cushion, where a drink is easy to reach. The stone is the surface that gets used; the Desert frame keeps the piece from reading as cold. In a shore house in Mays Landing, pair it with the Desert Side Table, which carries the same inset stone, or put the Desert Console Table behind the sofa.
Comparable Universal tables can be seen in our showroom; white-glove delivery is available (delivery fee applies).
