At the end of a sofa in a bright room, the Carmen Side Table in Universal's White Oak finish is a 22-inch cube — stone on top, ribbed wood below — that holds a lamp, a book and a glass at 22 inches high. Adjustable levelers keep it from rocking.
In White Oak it suits a shore house; two of them, one at each end of a sofa in Ocean City, with the Carmen Cocktail Table on casters in front, make a matched set in stone and oak. It also works as a bedside table next to the Owen Storage Bed.
