Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Forty inches wide and 56 tall, the Carmen Chest uses wall height instead of wall width: five drawers stacked in a case finished in Universal's Skylark tone, 19 inches deep, with the vertical wood detailing that marks the Carmen pieces across the drawer fronts. It comes with a tip kit for anchoring it to the wall and adjustable levelers for a floor that is not quite level.
It is the chest for a narrow wall between two windows, or the second storage piece in a room where the 68-inch Carmen Dresser has the long wall. Five drawers hold one person's folded clothes; the Skylark finish matches the Carmen nightstands and the Owen Storage Bed A.

Most Universal collections include coordinating pieces — beds, nightstands, dressers, tables and seating designed to work together. A design consultant can show you what's available in the current line.
Coastal Living is a licensed collection designed with Coastal Living magazine and built by Universal — relaxed, light, shore-house styling across bedroom, dining and living room pieces.
Universal designs each collection as a set, so the nightstands, dressers and chests share the bed's finish and hardware. A design consultant can confirm which pieces coordinate.
