Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Four drawers across a 76-inch top on a slim metal base: the Boulder Metal Base Console is the storage console in Universal's Dwell collection, 16 inches deep and 32 inches tall in the warm Boulder finish. The metal base lifts the case off the floor, so a long piece reads lighter than its length.
In an entry it takes the gloves, leashes and mail; in a dining room it is a 32-inch server with drawers for linens; under a wall-mounted television it holds the remotes and the things that otherwise sit on the sofa arm. Adjustable levelers in the base let you true it on an uneven floor. Pair it with a Boulder Display Cabinet at one end for height. Dwell was designed in High Point, North Carolina.
