Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Abaca, a natural plant fiber, is wrapped over the whole frame of the Abaca Arm Chair, and the seat is Nomad Snow, a Crypton performance fabric. It is a low dining arm chair — 31 inches tall at the back, 24 wide and 23 deep — with the seat at 19 inches and the arms at 27.
The low back is the point: at the ends of the 86-inch Dockside Dining Table or around the round Oasis Dining Table, whose base is wrapped in the same abaca, it keeps the view across the table open. Arms at 27 inches slide under a 30-inch top; check the apron depth on a table from another maker. The Abaca Counter Chair carries the wrap to the kitchen. Universal designs the Oasis group for the Coastal Living Home Collection in High Point, North Carolina.
