Kitchen islands have quietly become the real dining room, and the Phelps counter stool is made for that shift. It carries the Phelps chair's upholstered fabric seat to counter height — 38 inches overall, on a 19-by-21-inch footprint that keeps a row of stools from swallowing the walkway.
Each stool is American-built to order through Bassett's Spence program, with custom options available if you want it tailored to your space.
