Sateen is the weave to choose when you want sheets that feel silky rather than crisp, and Avocado weaves its Organic Cotton Sheets as a 400-thread-count single-ply sateen in GOTS-certified organic cotton. The hand is soft and smooth with a low sheen, the cotton breathes, and the sheets are pre-washed and processed to a neutral pH so they are gentle on skin from the first night.
Each set includes a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases; Twin and Twin XL sets come with one, and King and California King sets with king pillowcases. The fitted pocket fits mattresses up to 16 inches deep, which covers every Avocado mattress on this site. Choose White or Natural, the undyed shade of the cotton.
The set is GOTS certified for all materials and the finished product and certified to MADE SAFE standards. Wash in warm water with a mild detergent, skip fabric softener, and tumble dry low.

A flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases. Twin and Twin XL sets include one pillowcase; King and California King sets include king-size pillowcases. Extra pillowcase sets are sold separately on this site.
Yes. The pocket fits mattresses up to 16 inches, which covers the Green Plush and Ultra Plush and all of the Luxury Organic models.
Sateen: a tighter weave with a smooth, silky hand and a soft sheen. If you prefer the cool, crisp feel of percale, this is not that; sateen is the warmer, softer of the two.
White is bleached to a clean white; Natural is the undyed cream shade of the organic cotton itself. Both are the same 400-thread-count sateen.
Warm water with a mild natural detergent, no bleach, whiteners or fabric softener, then line dry or tumble dry low and remove promptly. Wool dryer balls are a good substitute for dryer sheets.
Yes. Avocado's pillows, protectors, sheets and toppers carry GOTS certification for the finished product, and most are also certified to MADE SAFE and GREENGUARD Gold standards — the same programs that cover the mattresses.
Follow the care label on the item: Avocado's organic cotton sheets, pillowcases and protectors machine wash in cold or warm water with a mild detergent and no bleach, and most prefer a low tumble or line dry. Pillows and toppers are spot-clean only.
Pillows, protectors, sheets and toppers are personal-use items, so the return terms differ from mattresses. Ask our team before you buy and we will walk you through them.
