Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Sleepers who want a pillow that holds its shape all night, rather than one they fluff, usually end up on molded latex. Avocado pours FSC-certified latex into a pillow-shaped mold and steam-bakes it into a single firm, buoyant core, then infuses it with charcoal from rice husks to manage moisture and odor. The core is perforated so air moves through it, which is why it sleeps cooler than a solid foam pillow.
The feel is firm and supportive, made for side and back sleepers who need their head held at a steady height. The cover is GOTS-certified organic cotton, soft to the touch and easy to wash. It comes in Standard, Queen and King.
Ask at The Mattress Store inside our Northfield showroom to compare a molded core against the adjustable Green Pillow and pick the one your neck prefers.
Not sure it fits through the door or up the stairs? Will it fit? Our delivery guide
Firm. The molded latex core does not compress the way a shredded or fiber pillow does, so your head stays at the same height through the night. It is the pillow to choose if you wake with a flattened pillow under you.
Side and back sleepers who want steady neck support. Stomach sleepers usually prefer the softer Pure Talalay Luxury Pillow.
Charcoal from rice husks helps the core manage moisture and odor and regulate temperature. It is mixed into the latex before molding, so it is spread evenly through the core rather than coated on the surface.
Yes. The core is perforated so air moves through it, and latex does not trap heat the way memory foam does.
The GOTS organic cotton cover can be washed; the latex core is spot-clean only. A pillow protector extends its life; Avocado's organic waterproof pillow protector is on this site.
Yes. Avocado is carried at The Mattress Store inside our Northfield showroom; ask our team which Avocado models you can try in the store before you decide.
Pillows and pillowcases come in Standard, Queen and King; mattress protectors and sheets follow the mattress size. If you are matching an Avocado mattress on this site, pick the same size here.
Follow the care label on the item: Avocado's organic cotton sheets, pillowcases and protectors machine wash in cold or warm water with a mild detergent and no bleach, and most prefer a low tumble or line dry. Pillows and toppers are spot-clean only.
Yes. Avocado's pillows, protectors, sheets and toppers carry GOTS certification for the finished product, and most are also certified to MADE SAFE and GREENGUARD Gold standards — the same programs that cover the mattresses.
