Family-owned since 1912. One store at 200 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Questions about this piece: 609-241-0807.
Sometimes the simplest bed is a foundation on legs: no frame, no headboard, nothing to assemble but the base itself. The Avocado Foundation with Legs is Avocado's solid wood slatted foundation on wood legs in Dark Brown or Light Brown, and it turns any mattress on this site into a complete, freestanding bed. Slats sit 2 inches apart for airflow, the frame is rigid so a latex hybrid stays flat, and the woven cover keeps it tidy.
Setup is tool-free: lock the rails, drop in the pins and center supports, roll out the slats and fit the legs. It suits guest rooms, first apartments and shore rentals, and anyone who likes a low, clean look without a bed frame. GREENGUARD Gold certified, with a 10-year warranty from Avocado.
Twin through California King. Our Northfield team recommends it for a Wildwood or Cape May rental that needs to sleep well and look right.
Not sure it fits through the door or up the stairs? Will it fit? Our delivery guide
No. The legs make it a complete base: mattress on top, nothing else required. If you later want a headboard, Avocado's Eco base brackets are not for this product; a freestanding or wall-mounted headboard is the way to go.
Dark Brown is a walnut-toned leg that suits darker rooms and reads as furniture; Light Brown is a lighter natural tone for Scandinavian or coastal rooms. The foundation itself is the same.
The foundation adds the leg height plus its own depth under the mattress, so a mid-height mattress like the Green Medium lands at a comfortable sitting height. Ask our team if you need the exact number for a specific mattress.
Yes. The frame is solid wood with center supports and the slats are closely spaced; it is the same construction as the Avocado Foundation that goes inside a bed frame.
No. The rails lock together, the pins and supports drop in, the slats roll out and the legs screw in by hand.
A flat, solid support: a foundation, a platform bed with closely spaced slats, or an adjustable base. An old-style box spring with give in it is not the right base for a latex hybrid. Avocado's own foundations and bases are on this site.
Avocado's foundations assemble without tools in a few minutes, and the bases arrive ready to plug in. If you take white-glove delivery (delivery fee applies), our team places and sets it up for you.
Avocado backs its foundations with a 10-year warranty against defects in workmanship and its adjustable bases with their own limited warranty. Ask our team for the written terms.
